PAYDAY 3, developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by Deep Silver, is the long-awaited sequel to the iconic cooperative heist shooter series. Set several years after the events of PAYDAY 2, the game reunites the legendary PAYDAY Gang—Dallas, Wolf, Chains and Hoxton—as they return from retirement to face a new era of organized crime.
 

The game centers on team-based heists that support up to four players. Each mission is designed with multiple approaches, allowing players to choose between stealth, social infiltration, or full-scale loud combat. Players can initially move through public spaces without masks, manipulate security systems, bluff civilians and quietly complete objectives before escalating the situation.
 

Stealth mechanics are deeper than ever, featuring hacking, keycards, cameras, guard patrol patterns and civilian control. When things go loud, PAYDAY 3 delivers intense firefights against increasingly aggressive law enforcement using refined shooting mechanics and improved movement.
 

Progression is driven by customizable skill trees, perks, weapons, attachments, gadgets and armor, enabling players to create specialized roles such as hacker, crowd controller, stealth operative or heavy gunner. Coordination and communication are essential, especially on higher difficulties.
 

Set primarily in modern-day New York City, PAYDAY 3 offers detailed urban environments, improved visuals and a live-service structure with future heists, updates and seasonal content planned. With its emphasis on player choice, cooperation and replayability, PAYDAY 3 modernizes the classic heist formula for a new generation.
