With GTA 6’s release around the corner, hype amongst the entire community has reached light speed after a rumour claimed that GTA 6 PC will be released in 2027! Yeah, you heard me right, DetectiveSeeds, a gaming and entertainment reviewer on X (formerly Twitter) with a following of 25.2k, claims that Rockstar and Take Two Interactive will be releasing a PC version of GTA 6 in February 2027. If this rumor turns out to be true, PC prices are going on a long summer vacation! 

According to DetectiveSeeds, three former employees amongst 90 employees that he contacted through LinkedIn spilled the tea by claiming that Grand Theft Auto 6 is aiming to get a PC release before the fiscal year 2027; however, the timeline could shift accordingly!

Right after this colossal rumor on X.com, it went viral on several social media platforms, and millions of fans and analysts have started dissecting the insider leaks for more hints. Hold your horses, as officials from Rockstar and Take-Two have yet to declare anything regarding this widespread. 

Will GTA 6 get a PC Release Right After it’s Initial Release on PlayStation and Xbox?

For now, it’s hard to say, but after analysing previous release patterns from Rockstar, this rumor can hurt millions of emotions. Why so? Well, Rockstar has never released a game this fast in their production life. I mean, it’s a no-brainer. Can you imagine a PC version of a game that was delayed three times and took 12 years of active development to come to fruition? It is confirmed that the upcoming instalment of Grand Theft Auto will surely get a PC release in the near future after its release on November 19, 2026.
