The rumored remake titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is not a rumor anymore. Ubisoft recently announced a special event showcase titled “Gaming’s Worst-Kept Secret” for April 23, 2026, where the production house will unveil gameplay features and details like pricing and platform availability.
However, today, on the day of the event itself, the entire community got flashed with a colossal leak, and it’s being criticized on various social media platforms.

Reliable insider Billbil-Kun from Dealabs, who is prominently known for his leaks, has leaked a large chunk about the showcase event “gaming’s worst secret” on his official X account (formerly Twitter), and it’s greater than ever.
According to his tweet, the Resynced version will be released on July 9, 2026. Eventually, he also mentioned the prices of the Standard and Collector’s editions, which are similar to a modern-day AAA title.

Even though the tea has been spilled, we need to take this leaked information with a grain of salt, as even if the game is released on July 9, 2026, prices may vary from what Billbil-Kun revealed.
Are Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Prices Justified?
Right before the official showcase, we got an ultimate preview of the pricing of the Assassin’s Creed Resynced version, and it's a mood killer if you were also anticipating an affordable price. As per the leaks, the Standard edition will be priced at $59.99, 59,99€ and 49.99£. Meanwhile, the Collector’s edition will rip your pockets apart as it will be priced at a whopping $199.99, 199.99€, and 174.99£.

While the Standard edition will offer the base game and pre-ordered bonus items, the Collector’s edition, on the other hand, will consist of a physical disk of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, a statue of Edward Kenway, notebooks, maps, and a Deluxe edition, which will feature in-game cosmetics.
Speaking of price justification, these prices share almost the same prices as next-gen AAA titles. Compared to games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Mario Kart World, these prices are actually good for a remake version of a game that broke the internet once. Still, doubt will flow while buying this game, as brand-new IPs do release at $59.99, such as Kingdom Come Deliverance II. The Collector’s Edition is, however, questionable as its offering physical items like other modern-day production houses do to increase revenues.
The prices of Deluxe and Collector’s editions might haunt you for days if Billbil-Kun’s leak gets a panel showcase today at the event. Although I am not doubting the assumption and leaks of Billbil-Kun, the officials might lower the prices after seeing tons of criticism on social media platforms.
Wrapping Up
Witnessing such ruckus right now, it's confirmed that we are getting an Assassin’s Creed Blag Flag Resyned soon. Reportedly, this will be the first-ever remake of the franchise and the original title, which was released in 2013. If you are questioning yourself about buying this game or not, it's worth every penny, as we will be seeing the notorious Assassin back in action with great graphics and combat mechanics.
