COD Mobile Season 2 has just arrived, bringing a plethora of new elements for gamers. On the surface level, you may notice new events, weapons and some festive content. But once you dive deeper, you will get to know about real gameplay changes. If you want to stay ahead, here's what you should know about the CoD Mobile Season 2 updates.
The Season 2 update kicked off on February 11, 2026, at 4 PM PT, to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse). The update brings fresh content across Battle Royale, DMZ: Recon, and Multiplayer, and notable festive events inspired by Chinese folklore.

The Challenge pass features Standard, Special, and Elite Missions. Completing them successfully will grant themed rewards against tokens. Notable freebies include Modern Warfare (2019)-themed Care Package Scorestreak Reskin, and Black Ops Cold War-themed Flashbang Grenade Reskin.
DMZ : Recon Update Stole The Limelight This Time
The CODM Season 2 introduced one of the biggest DMZ updates, including :

One of the most interesting additions is Mythic Constellation- Weapon Trials, where you have to loot the Mythic Weapon Parts in Serpent Island and Building 21. If done successfully, you will be granted a three-day trial of a mythic weapon blueprint.
The New Plunder and Other Multiplayer Modes Is A Must Try
The Plunder mode arrives in the BR (Battle Royale), where trios will compete to get $1 million either by looting, completing tasks and knocking down enemies. Here, operators can respawn after death, turning the entire mechanism chaotic and fast-paced.
In Multiplayer, the 1v1 Duel debuts as a limited-time Multiplayer mode where players will compete in best-of-three duels with the weapon class changing between rounds.
The new Lunar Multiplayer Map, Shipment, is a festive makeover map variant with firecrackers, lanterns, and snow, and is available till February 25, 2026.
New Ranked Rewards and Seasonal Events

- 1v1 Duel Event: Second to None - Available freebies are new Merc 2 Operator Skin, Secret Caches, and various weapon camos.
- Ramadan Event: Starlit Quest - Themed rewards like Zero-Tranquil Nights, AK-47-Luminous, and SVD-Falcon's Eye. It will be available from February 16, 2026, and remains active throughout the entire season.
