GTA 6 this GTA 6 that….. Well, this is the only thing you’ll get to hear till this demon gets released on November 19, 2026, and guess what? Take-Two Interactive has again spilled the tea, and it has erupted like Krakatoa! Strauss Zelnick (CEO of Take-Two) has indirectly hinted at the price of GTA 6 for its launch.

Hold your horses and take classes on personal finance, as the game will likely launch at a price tag of $70-$80 instead of a whopping $100, which was rumored months ago, along with the $2 billion budget for GTA 6. A big sigh of relief as it’s not a far cry from $100 to $130 in late 2025.

This slip of tongue happened around 13 days ago during an industry interview with the Game Business titled “The Notion that AI can make GTA  is laughable.” During the discussion of in-game advertising, Zelnick stated that “It’s very difficult for me to believe that we would want to have interstitial advertising in a game that someone paid 70 or 80 bucks for; that would seem unfair.” Although GTA 6 wasn’t mentioned during the interview, several analysts and fans dissected the thoughts and claimed that GTA 6's standard edition might have a price tag of $79.99.

Will GTA 6 Launch at a $70-$80 Price Tag?

Even though it’s still not confirmed by the officials, the remarks during the interview clearly state that the production house cares for fans who have been eagerly anticipating for a long time?

However, Zelnick’s comment has made a mess across different social media platforms. While some fans claim that GTA 6 will release between a price tag of $70-$80, others from r/GTA6 claim that this pricing for a next-gen game is absurd, as Rockstar North has claimed that the company has an expenditure above $2 billion if counting the salaries from 2019, and it might reach a whopping $3 billion by November 19, 2026.

Assuming all these scenarios on paper, it’s crystal clear that Rockstar Games will follow the current AAA titles pricing plan and will likely exceed the pricing for Deluxe and Collector’s editions to $200 that might include physical maps, figurines, or digital in-game bonuses.

In other regions like the United Kingdom, India, and Japan, the game will release at a projected price of €69, ₹7,999, and ¥12,750, respectively, according to the hinted price.
